Traverse

/ Problem /
A data analytics company that tracks millions of routine movements by hikers wants to develop an app to improve the hiking experience for a growing community of trail enthusiasts.

/ Solution /
Traverse is a hiking app that 1) helps users discover new hiking experiences by creating a database of hiking locations, and 2) enables users to connect with other hikers by developing a social community of hikers.

The photo-centric interface puts the focus on the beauty of nature and the hiking experience,  differentiating the app from more stats-heavy and fitness-focused apps such as Strava, which are usually associated with a sporty black/white & neon palette.
